J Former Access Hollywood and current The Insider host Pat O’Brien regrettably let the words fly about former colleague Shaun Robinson in a scathing email: “You have the worst reputation I’ve ever seen in the business … and your constant attempt to get me fired was such a joke to everybody it was hard to contain the laughter.”

J New York Post gossipist Ian Spiegelman was let go by Page Six after sending an ill-tempered (we can be PC too) to Douglas Dechert, the ex of his current girlfriend, 19-year-old Abigail Vona, who is writing a book about her last relationship. New York Daily News’ Lloyd Grove is taking credit for the firing, having forwarded a copy of Spiegelman’s email to the company’s heads. Gawker managed to score a copy of the email: “If I wanted to take your girl out, I would. You have nothing I can’t take away from you, you non-man. Doug, you little tiny fairy, you arrested boy, I will break your back over my knee in the press and I will push your face inside-out in private or public.”

J USA Today will hike prices an entire quarter on September 7. The current 50 cent rate is as passe as the rapper, says publisher Gannett, and the 75 cents will correspond to the high demand for the paper during the presidential election. Or their 9/11 tribute issue or a review of Paris Hilton’s book, whichever.
